Advanced Foot Care - XHLT 1080

This advanced foot care course combines independent study and assignments, instructor-led theory, and clinical practice. All supplies and instruments are included. Nurses will learn assessment and treatment of ailments of the foot, as well as how to care for high-risk clients. Other topics include the standards for sterilization protocols and accepted procedures for foot care nurses, records management, interdisciplinary care, and business fundamentals. At the end of this course, the nurse is prepared to provide foot care in either private practice or in a health-care setting.

Tuition: $1600

Additional costs such as textbook and supplies may apply. You must purchase 10 foot care kits (approximately $350).

What to expect

You will develop a professional resource portfolio throughout the course that will be used in practicum and after program completion. By the end of this course, you will be prepared to provide foot care in either private practice or in a health-care setting.
