You must complete 21 courses to graduate. Courses are listed to show the recommended path to completing the program in two years as a full-time student.
You will receive prior learning assessment and recognition towards ANPH 1001, ANPH 1002 , and PSYC 1060 and will not need to take them in the program. At this time, no other automatic PLAR credit has been approved for advanced recognition for any other courses in this specific PN offering, even if you have taken a program in, or been employed as, a Health Care Aide.
If you are in the English language stream, you will take these courses in your first term:
The instructor-led clinical placement (NPRT 1001) will occur in the Edmonton area for a four-week rotation. Your schedule may include days or evenings on weekdays.
Your preceptored clinical placement (NPRT 2006 and NPRT 2007 ) may be arranged in or close to your community. Your schedule may include day, evening, or night shifts any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
