“I’ve been a fan of [FIFA] since I was a kid with soccer being my favourite sport.”

Yves joined the NorQuest FIFA varsity team to play his favourite game and improve his skills. As a competitive soccer player, it’s no surprise FIFA is Yves favourite video game. He enjoys it because he can be more creative with his soccer abilities in FIFA.

If Yves could be a video game character, he’d be Ryu from Street Fighter.

Johnson Kanyombo

Academic Upgrading

“I grew up playing football (soccer), so I play FIFA to keep myself involved in the sport.”

As a fan of video games, joining NorQuest’s FIFA varsity team was an easy decision for Johnson. He sees esports as an opportunity to have fun, make new friends, and display his gamer talent of adapting to almost any game that he plays.

If Johnson could be a video game character from FIFA, he’d be Hitman (however, he’d also like to be Messi, but, since FIFA is his favourite game, he’d rather stay on theme).

Yuvraj Singh

Business Administration

“I like to [play] at a competitive level, and I just found the opportunity to advance my skills.”

As someone who loves competition, Yuvraj enjoys playing amongst and competing against some of the best gamers in the city. He works hard and has a passion for continuously improving his game. One of the gamers he admires is SCOUT, an Indian gamer from Yuvraj’s home country who has an underdog story. SCOUT started esports from the bottom but is now one of the best in India.

If Yuvraj could be a video game character, he’d be Kylian Mbappe—one of the fastest characters in FIFA.

Sahil Sakhuja

“All you have to do is master a game and own it like it’s yours.”

Sahil never imagined playing competitive esports at a post-secondary university, so when he learned about NorQuest’s varsity teams, he couldn’t wait to sign up. While FIFA is one of Sahil’s favourite games—mainly because he can play with his country and club teams—he also enjoys playing Tekken 7.

One of Sahil’s talents is understanding the game in quick fashion, so he can adjust to any game he’s playing.

Mahir Datta

“NorQuest’s Esports provides me with an opportunity to showcase my talents on a bigger platform.”

Mahir’s favourite video game is FIFA, because he believes it’s the best game to fall in love with gaming. He brings the valuable skill of dribbling to his team and looks forward to making memories with the Esport’s community.

If Mahir could be a video game character, he’d choose Messi, as he is one of the best and the reason he started playing FIFA.

Hitesh Ladwal

“I have some talents that no one else has.”

Hitesh’s favourite game is FIFA 23’, so it’s no surprise that he joined the NorQuest FIFA team. He looks forward to building his future in gaming and uncovering more of his abilities.

His older brother, Nishant, is one of his favourite gamers.
