Kirsten first got involved with NorQuest Esports while playing in Campus Clash for ABJ Scots Alpha in 2024. Drawn by the chance to compete and build a strong bond with a team that shared his mindset, he decided to join the Varsity program.

His gamertag, voradeux combines inspiration from the #1 player in Marvel Rivals with his favorite artist The Weeknd’s branding. In Valorant, Kirsten’s competitive edge comes from hi aggressive playstyle and precise aim, making her an unpredictable and exciting player to watch.

His teammates describe him as a troller, bringing humor and energy to every match. Kirsten thrives in a team environment, balancing competitiveness with camaraderie.

Outside of gaming, he enjoys staying active through football and basketball, finding ways to channel her energy and focus. The inclusive environment at NorQuest has also helped him grow both as a player and as a team member.

Brandon first got involved with NorQuest Esports through Campus Clash, driven by his love of gaming and ambitions to compete at the highest levels, including the VCT stage.

His gamertag, krqv, is a modified version of a friend’s gamertag from elementary school, giving him a unique identity he has carried into competitive play. Brandon competes in Valorant, Call of Duty, and Apex Legends, balancing an aggressive approach with strategic, methodical gameplay depending on the situation.

Known among teammates as "that one Cypher main," Brandon brings precision, adaptability, and consistency to every match. Outside of gaming, he enjoys cooking, drawing, and creating art, which fuels his creativity and focus both in and out of the game. His experience on a high school swim team taught him the value of teamwork and practice, skills he applies directly to esports competition.

Austin first heard about NorQuest Esports through an advertisement and saw an opportunity to share his passion for competitive gaming while representing the college. He joined the Varsity program to develop his skills in a collegiate setting and experience the esports journey with likeminded teammates.

His gamertag, Nhzual, was inspired by "Nhazul" from a Sword Art Online fanfiction he read during the COVID pandemic. The name represents his personal journey in esports, from competition to self-expression. Austin’s favorite title is Valorant, where he excels in gathering information, preparing the team for engagements, and making strategic plays.

Known as the anomaly of the team, Austin can perform like a pro tier player one moment and show a more casual style the next. Outside of gaming, he enjoys singing R&B and Hip Hop, and crafting cocktails hobbies that nurture patience, creativity, and a positive mindset, which he brings to the team.

Rajj first got involved with NorQuest Esports when Ric asked if he played Valorant while he was checking out the CORE. Drawn by a love of video games, meeting new people, and helping others enjoy gaming, he decided to join the Varsity program.

His gamertag, J3D, highlights his second first name, Jedrick, giving it a unique spotlight. In Valorant, Rajj excels at communication, smart gameplay, and outthinking opponents, always ready to lift his team with support and strategy.

Friends describe him as loud, outgoing, and helpful, while his competitive approach is fueled by his dedication to teamwork and Filipino hospitality. Outside of gaming, Rajj enjoys playing drums and participating in sports like basketball and volleyball.

Ethan "ichiwoshi" Majan

Ethan first got involved with NorQuest Esports when he competed in the college’s first ever Valorant Campus Clash tournament in 2023 under JP Black. The following year, he was invited to become a coach for the NorQuest Heroes’ Varsity Valorant team.

He joined Varsity to pursue his passion for competitive gaming and test his skills against top level players. His gamertag, ichiwoshi, is a combination of "Ichiro," meaning eldest son, and "Hiroshi," meaning vast ambition, reflecting both his personal identity and his drive-in esports. Ethan’s favorite competitive game is Valorant, where he excels as an entry duelist, securing crucial kills and creating opportunities for his team.

Friends describe him as a skilled, passionate player with strong mechanics and dedication to improvement. Outside of gaming, Ethan enjoys skating and going for walks, which helps him clear his mind and stay focused. These habits contribute to his reliability and composure during high pressure matches.

Carson first got involved with NorQuest Esports through the International Welcome event, drawn by his love for competitive gaming. He joined the Varsity program to further develop his skills while connecting with like-minded students.

His gamertag, Carsah, comes from a nickname his uncle gave him, which he adopted for all his gaming activities. Although he competes in Valorant, his favorite game to play competitively is Rocket League, drawn to its mechanics and learning curve.

Known as a thoughtful and strategic player, Carson brings his analytical mindset to the team. Outside of gaming, he enjoys running, playing poker, and eating, and his experience in individual sports like wrestling, track, and cross country has given him an appreciation for teamwork.

Ric first got involved with NorQuest Esports after stumbling across the Esports booth in the main atrium. Interested in joining Valorant tryouts, he decided to sign up and explore the program.

He joined Varsity to enjoy playing Valorant competitively while meeting other students who share the same passion. His gamertag, juwulia#jzon, is inspired by his girlfriend’s name with a few additional letters. In competitive play, Ric thrives as a headfirst, aggressive player, favoring Jett and embracing fast paced duels and site entries.

Known for his energetic and fun-loving personality, Ric balances his aggressive playstyle with dedication and teamwork. Outside of gaming, he enjoys snowboarding, skiing, bouldering, badminton, swimming, and riding his motorcycle, all of which contribute to his focus and resilience during matches.

Ric’s advice for aspiring Varsity members: "It is very worth joining NorQuest Varsity. You get to be part of an amazing community and program, meet students from different backgrounds, and share your passion for competitive gaming."

 
 
Toan Tran

Toan "Slooth" Tran

Toan "Slooth" Tran first got involved with NorQuest Esports after competing in the 2024 Valorant Campus Clash, where he discovered his passion for leadership within competitive gaming. His gamertag, "Slooth," draws inspiration from FaZe Blaziken’s mascot originally "SlothnessDevil" before evolving into the name he uses today.

As the Valorant coach, Toan combines strong mechanical skill with analytical insight, helping players grow both individually and as a team. Known for his confident, aggressive approach and calm leadership, he consistently brings out the best in those around him.

Outside of esports, Toan enjoys filmmaking and volleyball. His experiences as a club president and former athlete have helped him develop the teamwork and communication skills that define his coaching style.
