Zoey Robocon

Medical Device Reprocessing Technician

Choosing a career with surgical precision

As a child it was always Zoey Robocon’s dream to work in the medical field. Every visit to the hospital was filled with questions about what the staff were doing and what the machines were doing. She knew this was where she wanted to work someday, and was determined to make that dream a reality.

“After a few of years working in retail I began looking at education options and found the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program at NorQuest College, so I enrolled and it was the best decision I ever made.”

Upon graduating, Zoey immediately found work in a few different hospitals, and now works full time at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

“I am able to come here every day, put on my scrubs, and be a part of the amazing community of health care workers that keep this and every hospital running, knowing every day I’m helping keep people safe and healthy.”

Zoey adds, “To anyone who’s considering taking this program, I’d tell them to do it! Because of the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program at NorQuest, I am working full time in the field I wanted with a sense of accomplishment and pride in giving back to my community!”
