Graduates of the Early Learning and Child Care certificate program should consider the NorQuest Early Learning and Child Care – diploma program to progress to supervisor-level opportunities in child care.

Students who complete the Early Learning and Child Care certificate program may receive direct entry into the following program:

• Year two of the Early Learning and Child Care – diploma

Or advanced credit towards:

• Disability Studies

Turn your certificate into a diploma or degree 

Your certificate can qualify you to apply for:

• Bow Valley College, Early Childhood Education and Development diploma, up to 31 credits 
• McEwan University, Bachelor of Early Childhood and Curriculum Studies, up to 30 credits 

NorQuest can’t guarantee admission or course transfer into a program at another institution. Your application will be assessed based on the entry requirements of the receiving institution. 

Course transfer 

Other post-secondary institutions in Alberta and across Canada may also accept transfer credits from NorQuest College. Transfer Alberta lists many Alberta institutions where your courses may transfer. For the most accurate and current information, connect with a NorQuest Academic Program Advisor. 

Additional certification

Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for Early Childhood Educator II certification through the Government of Alberta.
