What to expect from the program
Upon graduation, you will have developed a solid foundation in both the creative and technical aspects of digital design, including:
- Fundamentals of design, layout, and typography
- User experience
- Branding, communications, and marketing basics

You will learn how to manage design projects, whether working independently or as part of a team, and develop the skills to present, defend, and critique digital media projects that align with client needs, project scope, and available resources.

In the final semester, you will complete a capstone project, where you will plan and design a unique, portfolio-ready piece. You will also complete the program with a fully developed portfolio submission to use post-graduation to showcase your design and technical skills to potential employers.

Delivered through a unique partnership with Bow Valley College, the Digital Design program offers you the opportunity to earn a dual institution diploma from both NorQuest College and Bow Valley College. While Bow Valley College owns the curriculum, you'll complete your studies at NorQuest's downtown Edmonton campus, giving you access to expert instructors and a dynamic learning environment in the Edmonton area.
