Pain Monitoring and Management for the Caregiver - XHLT 1850

Learn how to observe a person’s pain level and provide supportive measures in the home environment. This workshop discusses pain and pain management, as well as tools for observing, determining, and managing a person’s level of pain. Tips for caregivers to support their loved ones are included. Highlights include communication techniques and an exploration of the myths and stigma of using pain medications. The workshop includes a class lecture and a simulation experience.
