Learning Strategies for ESL Literacy Learners - XLAN 2077

Because ESL literacy learners often have limited or no formal education, they often lack well-developed learning strategies. In this workshop, participants will become familiar with three categories of learning strategies that when taught to ESL literacy learners will enable them to better understand, learn, and use new language and literacy. Participants will also explore how they can teach and support learners in acquiring and using new learning strategies.
