Communication & Math for the Skilled Trades - XCAR 1101

This 3-week course supports learners entering the trades by building essential language, communication, math, and digital skills. With a focus on safety and teamwork, students will learn trade-specific vocabulary, tool names, and workplace communication through practical, hands-on scenarios. The course also strengthens numeracy skills needed for apprenticeship success, including measurements, estimating, calculations, and money math using both metric and imperial systems. Learners will gain confidence in their study skills, communication, problem-solving, and using digital tools to succeed in trades.
