The Advanced First Aid (AFA) safety course is designed to teach the knowledge and skills needed to respond to medical emergencies in the field. Advanced First Aid is valuable for people seeking employment as a Workforce First Aid Attendant as well as anyone seeking a career as a First Responder. Our course will give you the skills to treat people with pre-hospital medical care using the Canadian Red Cross curriculum and the Emergency Car for Professional Responders textbook. This course is useful for people looking at a career in EMS, firefighting, police, wilderness guides, industrial first aid attendants or anyone looking to increase their knowledge and ability to assist in an emergency situation and increasing the safety of their community.
