Introduction to Social Research Methods - SOCI 2150

This course introduces students to social science research: the methods and techniques social scientists use to obtain information and answer questions about the social world. Students will explore diverse ways of knowing (epistemologies), different approaches to research (methodologies), and key ethical considerations in social science research, as well as both quantitative and qualitative methods for collecting data.

Note: Prerequisites: SOCI 1000. Restricted to Arts & Sciences Diploma and Open Studies.


This course is delivered in a classroom setting with face-to-face instruction at regularly scheduled times.
