Field Experience Preparation - CYCD 1010

This introductory course will prepare Child and Youth Care Diploma students for practicum placement in the community. Students will develop skills to work in a team, including communication, conflict resolution and feedback skills. Using scenarios and case examples from the field, students will learn to connect young people and families with community resources and provide support using the Circle of Courage model. Students will reflect on their role as a Child and Youth Care worker as they prepare for their first Child and Youth Care practicum experience.
