Medical Microbiology for Healthcare - BIOL 1024

This course will introduce students to the principles of microbiology and classification of microbes, focusing on the nature, reproduction, and distribution of common microorganisms, and the epidemiology and role of pathogenic organisms in infectious diseases. The course will also cover human immunology, antimicrobial strategies, and health systems in discussions of the prevention and control of infectious diseases in humans.

Note: Prerequisite Biology 30 (high school). Restricted to Arts and Sciences Diploma and Open Studies.
