Global Café: Tuesdays at 12:00 pm (first Tuesday of every month)
Connect with students from different parts of the world and learn about their unique cultures. You can present your cultural heritage through musical performances, dance, games, and presentations.

Jumpstart Program
Join our Jumpstart Program sessions to get guidance from many departments across the college, including NorQuest International, The Office of Student Judicial Affairs, The Learner Centre, Career Centre, Students’ Association, as well as NorQuest teachers and experts. All international students are welcome!
- Expectations vs. Reality (August 23, 12:45 pm): learn how to prepare yourself in a Canadian classroom
- Assignment Writing, Citations, Paraphrasing (August 29, 3:45 pm): learn about academic writing and how to approach assignments.
- Learner Centre (library and tutors) (September 6, 12:45 pm): learn how to get help with your assignments and other academic supports.
- Career Readiness (September 12, 3:45 pm) : learn how to prepare yourself to be successful in the new job market.
- Immigration, OSJA, SANQC (September 20, 12:45 pm): learn how immigration is connected to your academic success.
- Living and Learning in Canada + Getting Involved at NorQuest and Beyond (September 26, 3:45pm): learn how to successfully adapt to a new culture and find ways to get involved in the community.
Participating in at least four sessions will make you eligible to apply for the International Student Integrity Award worth $1000 (there are 15 awards available)!
Peer Mentorship Program
Are you new to NorQuest and Canadian culture? Do you want to connect with others, build your community, and gain confidence?
Join our International Peer Mentorship Program! When you join as a mentee (a new student), you will be matched with a peer mentor (current senior student) and meet with them live, via video call or messages. Participation is free.
Mentees
What are the benefits? You will focus on personal growth and skill development while expanding your personal and professional network. Your mentor’s guidance, support, knowledge, and experiences will give you insight into how to succeed in academic, social, and work environments.
