Shean Matthew "Kaiser" Pantaleon

Shean joined NorQuest Varsity out of curiosity and quickly found his drive to improve and push his limits. His gamertag, "Kaiser," is inspired by the iconic manga Blue Lock. For Shean, gaming is about exploring his potential against other players beyond family and friends. With his remarkable timing and sharp intuition, Shean always seems to know what move will counter his opponent.
Outside gaming, his unique talent is being ambidextrous—a skill he developed after switching from left-handed to right-handed as a child. Shean's patience and level-headedness set him apart, keeping him calm during the most challenging matches.

Kyle "Axisiser" Sajorne

Kyle joined NorQuest Varsity to surround himself with a community of gamers who share his passion for competition. His gamertag, "Axisiser," was generated years ago for his YouTube channel and has stuck ever since. Kyle is driven to master games like Tekken, stepping out of the 2D genre to conquer new challenges. Known for his aggressive gameplay, Kyle gravitates toward high-risk, high-reward characters, no matter the game.
Outside of gaming, he trains in MMA and boxing as an amateur, channeling his love for competition into his workouts. Kyle’s dedication to learning from mistakes and constantly improving makes him a formidable player.

Jon "Batmanhat" Simpson
Coach
"I want the people who love these games to have a healthy community and ample opportunities to play."
Jon got involved with NorQuest Varsity after meeting the team at local FightQuest events. When the Tekken Coach position opened up, it was a natural fit, given his expertise and passion for the game.
His gamertag, "Batmanhat," comes from a tournament where he wore a Batman hat, and the name stuck. Now, it’s part of his identity at every event! As a coach, Jon brings deep knowledge of Tekken and fighting game fundamentals, along with a community-focused approach.
Outside of gaming, Jon is a historical interpreter with a Physics degree and a range of hobbies, including blacksmithing and medieval carpentry. He describes NorQuest Varsity as a fantastic program that helps students play, improve, and thrive in the games they love.
