Smiles, cheers, hugs, and the pride of a life-changing achievement.
That was the mood of this year’s convocation ceremonies for NorQuest College, as over 2,000 graduates gathered at the Edmonton EXPO Centre to take a moment with family and friends to say, “I did it!”
The joy and energy at the convocation ceremonies were very tangible. Whether graduates are entering the workforce, moving their careers in a new direction, or moving ahead with further studies, the day was an uplifting moment for one and all.
Alongside the presentation of credentials, NorQuest also recognized individuals who represent tremendous leadership and community service. NorQuest donors and community leaders Blaine LaBonte and Irene Mertz LaBonte and internationally respected lawyer Chief Wilton Littlechild were presented with Honorary Diplomas. The event also celebrated social work grad, Robert Gurney, who earned the college’s highest student award, the President’s Medal.
