NorQuest College unveils new strategic plan

EDMONTON – Colleges are increasingly being asked to deliver education to learners so that they may succeed in the future, but also in a way that is respectful of difference and inclusive of differing needs and aspirations.

NorQuest 2030: We are who we include is NorQuest College’s new strategic plan. Unveiled to employees in a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, October 5, the plan offers a reimagined vision for higher education that is defined by, and succeeds through, who it includes.

“NorQuest is where people come to transform their lives and find a place to belong,” says Carolyn Campbell, President and CEO of NorQuest College. “NorQuest 2030: We are who we include is the expression of how we will connect the college with the communities we aim to serve, and offers a road map to how we will solve societal challenges by enhancing connection and investment. When we are who we include, we make incredible things happen for our community.”

A critical driver for Alberta’s next phase of growth
NorQuest 2030: We are who we include is the culmination of months of consultation with learners, employees, and community stakeholders—resulting in a plan that resonates beyond the college’s traditional audiences. By focusing on five outcomes – learner, people, connection, investment, and transformation – as places for impact, the plan will offer its partners an inclusive and seamless post-secondary experience.

NorQuest 2030: We are who we include will solidify and make clear NorQuest’s role as a place of connection, a hub for the most diverse collection of learners, faculty and staff, industry, and communities to tackle innovation together,” says Carla Madra, Chair of the NorQuest College Board of Governors. “NorQuest’s new strategic plan is an invitation for communities, organizations, industry, and others who share NorQuest’s vision for a thriving Alberta, to partner with the college to find the resources and the solutions that will make our communities stronger.”
