Mark the launch of the Violence Prevention and Support program by the Centre for Growth and Harmony. Learn, connect, and have fun.
Join us for a week of programming hosted by the Violence Prevention and Support (VPS) team. Discover the services offered by VPS, learn about violence prevention, and take part in community-building events.
Between June 4 and June 7, receive one entry for each day of programming you attend. This gives you a chance to win a MacBook Air, Beats Studio3 headphones, or Beats Fit Pro earbuds in one of three prize drawings at the end of the week. The more days you attend, the higher your chances of winning!
Lunch and Learn and Learning Day
Kick off the week's events by joining us in person or online for a lunch and learn session with activist and writer Kai Cheng Thom! Kai Cheng Thom is an award-winning author and trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practitioner whose work focuses on the intersection of social justice, pleasure activism, and transformative approaches to healing conflict and harm.
Kai will lead an introductory session on alternative justice models and community-based support. Free food will be available to those who attend in-person.
