  • 1000Women4STEM Bursary

    By empowering women to pursue STEM education, we're not only uplifting individual women, but we are also fostering a more diverse and inclusive industry — and paving the way for those who come after them. This bursary covers the cost of tuition, a laptop, and all the textbooks necessary for women to find success in STEM programs at NorQuest.

  • Childcare Bursary

    1000 Women recognizes that access to quality and affordable childcare is a significant barrier to post-secondary education for many parents. Our bursary fully funds the cost of childcare at NorQuest’s on-campus licensed childcare facility, allowing parents to focus on achieving their goals while confident that their child is close by and well cared for. 

  • Emergency Bursary 

    This anonymous program gives students a lifeline when they need it most. Emergencies can be detrimental for students, but this program provides them with the financial support necessary to prevent a crisis from derailing their success and giving them the relief they need to keep their focus on their studies.

Changing lives since 2010

In the beginning, we were met with doubt that a women-led philanthropic movement would be successful. But what we discovered is the exact opposite: the power of women’s philanthropy is nothing short of amazing.

To date, 1000 Women has raised over $5.5 million dollars, providing necessary funding to help students in need pursue their education and enter a space of learning and growth. 

Through the generosity of our donors, 1000 Women has impacted almost 1000 lives and made the pursuit of education more equitable and inclusive.
