I am a single mother of two who had little education. After moving to Edmonton, I applied for upgrading. I chose NorQuest College because of all the great things I had heard about the support offered. Without receiving this amazing support, I would not have been able to succeed. During my upgrading program, I was successful in receiving a few bursaries, like the Rotary Club of Edmonton Glenora award. The money I received helped in so many ways. I completed my upgrading and graduated last year. I am now enrolled in the Social Work diploma program.

It is difficult for me to list all the ways NorQuest has changed my life, but I can sum it up by saying: all the staff, faculty and students I have met are wonderful. Everyone I have worked with takes the time to hear my ideas and treat me with dignity and respect. I have made it through all the obstacles in my life to reach where I am today. I now have the confidence to know I can accomplish anything.
