Preparing for your exam

The following strategies may assist you in maximizing your opportunity for success on the equivalency exam:

  • If you have finished your course(s), thoroughly review your class materials and notes.
  • Consider using a study guide such as "The Key: (desired course), Diploma Study Guide", available at local bookstores or online at Castle Rock Research.
  • Ensure you get a good night's sleep before the exam, have a good breakfast, and arrive early.

Picture ID required

You will be required to bring picture ID (school ID, passport, driver’s license) to verify your identity before you can write your exam.

Do not bring anything to the exam not listed on the table above under Items to Bring, including food, beverages, electronics, entertainment devices, communications devices, etc.

Note: no person will be granted access to the internet on any device, including computers on which exams are taken, mobile phones, personal computers, tablets, etc.
