Withdrawal Chart of Academic and Financial Penalties and Refund Schedule

Please note the following financial and academic penalties for withdrawals before and during the term.

If you withdraw Academic Penalty Financial Penalty
On or before the first day of term or session None
  • Tuition deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • The U-Pass fee, if paid, is non-refundable.
  • Full refund of all other tuition and fees already paid in full
Up to 10% of term or session None
  • Tuition deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • The U-Pass fee, if paid, is non-refundable.
  • Program and supplies fee is non-refundable.
  • $25 administration fee ($50 for international) will be assessed.
  • 100% refund of tuition, Students’ Association fee, Registrarial fee, textbook rental fee (if applicable), health and dental fee (if applicable) already paid in full.
From 11% to 20% of term or session Grade of "W" (Withdrawal) assigned
Grade is not calculated in grade point average (GPA)
  • 75% refund of tuition less a $25 administrative fee ($50 for international students)
  • All other fees are non-refundable.
Between 21% and 50% of term or session Grade of "W" (Withdrawal) assigned
Grade is not calculated in GPA.
  • No refund
After 51% of term or session has elapsed Grade of "WF" (Withdraw/Fail) assigned
Grade point value of 0.0 or 0% is calculated in GPA.
  • No refund
