Are you interested in pursuing a healthcare career? Learn more about our Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program—along with some of our other popular health programs—during our hybrid info session.
At NorQuest College, we understand the barriers that may prevent rural students from gaining an accredited, industry-recognized post-secondary education. Our online delivery options allow rural students to study from the comfort of their home, reduce transportation costs, and decrease commute times, so they can focus on other priorities, such as work and parenting.
During this hybrid info session, you’ll learn about our online health programs, specifically our Medical Device Reprocessing Technician certificate. Discover more information on:
- Learning online at NorQuest and the support services available to you
- Career opportunities within your community
- What to expect from the program
- Travelling to NorQuest for the in-person lab components
- Application tips
- Admission requirements and what you can do if you don’t meet the requirements
You’ll also have the chance to ask questions, engage with other future students, and enter to win door prizes.
Because of the Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program at NorQuest, I am working full time in the field I wanted with a sense of accomplishment and pride in giving back to my community!

Frequently asked questions
-
You mentioned a mandatory, in-person lab component. How often will I be expected to commute to campus for these?
While most of our program is online, there are in-person labs that provide the hands-on training students need to prepare for their new healthcare careers. We do our best to batch labs on consecutive days, so rural students can minimize their commutes. In most cases, labs are scheduled for full days.
For our Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program, you can expect to commute to campus eight times throughout the program. Our other health programs have different in-person lab requirements which we’ll discuss during the info session.
-
Can you guarantee a practicum placement in my community?
While our Work-Integrated Learning team do their absolute best to place students in practicum locations within their community, we cannot guarantee this. We will, however, find a placement in the next closest and available community.
-
I can’t make this date or time. Will you be sharing a recording of the info session with registrants?
Unfortunately, we will not be recording the info session. If you are interested in pursuing a health program at NorQuest, please reach out to our student recruitment team at student.recruiters@norquest.ca.
They can arrange a one-on-one virtual meeting to help you find the perfect health program for your interests, career goals, and location.
