What is a Microcredential

A series of carefully curated learning activities that provide learners with opportunities to gain specific skills or competencies that are workforce relevant and valued by employers, without enrolling in a credential program. The outcome can be shared digitally and allows employers to easily identify candidates who have mastered a specific skill set for success in their industry.

What to expect from the program

The Supply Chain Fundamentals for Tourism Industry Professionals microcredential includes three digital badges that can be completed within 35-45 hours. Each badge takes approximately 8-15 hours to complete, depending on your pace. Take all three to earn the microcredential or register for individual badges.

  • Introduction to Supply Chain Design (15 hours): Explore key supply chain concepts, rules, and strategies tailored to the tourism sector.
  • Supply Chain Strategy in the Tourism Sector (15 hours): Learn demand planning, sourcing, and fulfillment strategies to optimize tourism supply chains.
  • Emerging Trends in Touris(8 hours): Understand how technology and innovation are reshaping the tourism economy, and explore the many ways tourism operators and suppliers can offer their products and services to reach broader audiences.

You will study course material that has been developed by industry experts who come from both the Supply Chain sector and the tourism sector. This powerful combination makes the program ideal for tourism professionals and organizations looking to strengthen operations, grow into new markets, and stay competitive with supply chain strategies built specifically for the tourism industry.
