Delivered in partnership with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA), this training helps eligible participants build targeted clinical skills and strengthen practice readiness.
Through safe, supported simulation and reflective learning at NorQuest’s Olson Centre for Health Simulation, you’ll reinforce clinical standards, strengthen decision-making, and grow in your professional practice.
What is a Completion certificate
Ministry-approved teaching and learning activities that provide practical training for rapid entry into frontline jobs but do not culminate in a parchment/credential.
What to expect from the program
You’ll participate in a structured simulation-based learning experience that may include a pre-brief, simulation activity, guided debrief, and targeted feedback. Sessions are designed to encourage reflection, support clinical reasoning, and promote safe practice. Depending on your referral focus, simulation activities may address communication, decision making, professional judgment, technical skills, or other areas relevant to practice readiness.
All sessions are facilitated by trained simulation educators and are grounded in recognized best practices in simulation-based education.
