Digital badges can be used in email signatures or digital resumes, and on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. This digital image contains verified metadata that describes your qualifications and the process required to earn them.
What is a digital badge?
A digital badge is a shareable credential that you can post on social media, a digital resume, or on a website/ blog that contains details about your course, called metadata. This metadata is then accessible to anyone who clicks on your badge allowing you to showcase all of the skills and knowledge you acquired to future employers, colleagues, or other educational institutions.

That is why we have partnered with Credly’s Acclaim platform to provide you with a digital version of your credential. In today’s digital world, the ability to share a credential across a wide variety of platforms allows your skills and expertise to be at the forefront of your online presence. With so many employers requiring online job applications and completing social media checks on future candidates, sharing your accomplishments digitally is a no-brainer.
How does it work?
Once you have completed your course, you will receive an email from Credly to accept your digital badge. To do this, you simply create a free account within Credly’s Acclaim platform by following the link provided in the email. You then can share your badge directly from Acclaim and even search for labour market statistics and job postings for your area.
Why did we use Credly’s Acclaim? We chose the Acclaim platform because of it’s open-sourced verification process. This means that anyone clicking on your digital badge will know that it has been verified and issued by NorQuest – regardless of where you have shared it. Knowing your credential is safe, verifiable, and unable to be duplicated is one of the main factors for choosing Acclaim (and why we don’t just send you a picture of your badge). The digital badge is unique to you and you’ve earned it, so you should share it!
