Health Care Aide Re-Entry

This course is intended for students who have been withdrawn from the Health Care Aide program and require support to re-enter and complete the program successfully. Key concepts and skills from HLTH 1031, HLTH 1033, and HLTH 1034 are reviewed through an instructor-led classroom experience and laboratory practice and assessment. Integrating and applying knowledge of safety, care, and communication are emphasized. Students will acquire and practise the skills they need to succeed in HLTH 1550, HLTH 2550 and HLTH 2551 clinicals. Students must have successfully completed HLTH 1031, HLTH 1032, HLTH 1033 and HLTH 1034 in the last 5 years at NorQuest College. If you have completed same course at another College in Alberta approved to deliver the 2019 HCA Government of Alberta provincial curriculum, you must submit your transcript and course outlines to the program area. Permission from the HCA Program Chair is required before registering for this course. Contact HCA Program reception at 780.644.6370.
