Therapeutic Recreation and Mental Health - TRDC 1011

This course will examine areas of mental health and cognition as they relate to therapeutic recreation intervention. Students will gain knowledge of common mental health conditions and disorders of cognition, and explore how therapeutic recreation positively impacts the mental health of clients. Students will complete the Mental Health First Aid certificate as a part of this course.

Note: Prerequisites: TRDC 2001 and TRDC 2002 Restricted to Therapeutic Recreation Diploma


This course is delivered in a classroom setting with face-to-face instruction at regularly scheduled times.
