Community Connections - MHSD 1003

This course focuses on building the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate and engage with community resources that support individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges. Learners will explore the structure of social service systems, including housing, employment, healthcare, justice, and peer support networks. Learners will gain an understanding of the importance of community and social engagement in mental health and addiction recovery. **This course will feature a Community Service-Learning (CSL) component of 35 hours of student community agency volunteering.

Note: Restricted to  Mental Health and Addiction Support Worker.


This course is delivered in a classroom setting with face-to-face instruction at regularly scheduled times.
