Effective Communication Approaches - MHRP 1002

Build upon basic skills for effective communication with clients, families, communities, coworkers and interdisciplinary teams.  The importance of communication in developing relationships will be emphasized, including the need for cultural sensitivity and competence.  Goal attainment, problem-solving, psychoeducation and conflict resolution processes in communication will be practiced in the lab.

Note: Restricted to Mental Health Recovery Practitioner.


This course is delivered in a classroom setting with face-to-face instruction at regularly scheduled times.
