Introduction to Reprocessing - HLTH 1105

In this course, students will study the organization of the human body as it relates to surgical procedures and devices. Students will learn introductory medical terminology and introductory microbiology necessary to perform the tasks of a medical device reprocessing technician (MDRT). As members of the health-care team, MDRTs play a vital role in providing support to all patient-care services in hospitals and other clinical settings.

Note: Restricted to Medical Device Reprocessing Technician and Open Studies.


The course has a mixture of online and in-person instruction.
