Veterinary Terminology and Animal Health Systems - HLTH 1013

Study the language of veterinary terminology. Learn how to read and interpret commonly used veterinary medical terms, symbols, and abbreviations. Develop your understanding of small and large animal anatomy and basic animal pathology. Become familiar with frequently prescribed medications and their uses. Achieve fluency through practice sessions, quizzes, and exercises.

Note: Restricted to Veterinary Office Assistant and Open Studies.


This course is offered in an online setting. There are no scheduled classes, and you will learn at your own pace. Courses have start and end dates, assignments may have due dates assigned to them. The lab portion of this course may need to be completed in-person.
