Data Management for Environmental Technician - ENVI 1151

An introduction to data management and statistics for ET students.  Basic statistics useful for environmental work and manage larger data sets. Statistics including measures of central tendencies, variance and standard deviation, confidence intervals etc. will be introduced and their interpretation will be emphasized. Managing, summarizing and presenting data, especially in MS Excel will be emphasized.  Use of statistical formulae will be presented with examples and data sets from real-world environmental data.

Note: Restricted to Environmental Technician.
