Regulations, codes, and standards can set a baseline for building performance and help elevate it to new levels. In this course, students will explore the impact of historical codes on our existing infrastructure and deduce the challenges that they have caused. Students will identify current codes, regulations, and standards such as Step Code and electrical standards that have been developed by different levels of government and explore how they impact current buildings.
