English for Engineering Students - ENGL 1099

This writing-intensive course prepares Engineering students with the skills necessary for effective written and oral communication in academic and professional contexts. Instruction will include: sentence and paragraph construction; grammar review; rhetoric and argumentation; editing and revision processes; research for scholarly and professional purposes; media literacy, evaluation, integration, and documentation of sources; professional correspondence; oral/visual presentations; and other critical reading, writing, and thinking skills for professional Engineering applications.

Note: Restricted to Engineering University Transfer.


This course is delivered in a classroom setting with face-to-face instruction at regularly scheduled times.
