Community Alliances - DISB 2008

This course provides learners with opportunities to describe how relationships and environments influence an individual's meaningful participation in community life. Learners will explore how equitable inclusion is shaped by lived experiences, social capital, employment opportunities, and natural supports. Emphasis is placed on understanding how participation is defined by the persons with disabilities, recognizing environmental and relational factors, and identifying and advocating for conditions that promote authentic, equitable community involvement.

Note: Prerequisite DISB 1002. Restricted to Disability Studies.
