Understanding Community II - CBLE 2010

This course provides learners with opportunities to deepen their understanding of the scope and purpose of community programs, services, and activities available to persons with disabilities. Learners will plan and participate in a range of community-based activities grounded in individual interests, cultural and spiritual identities, relationships to land and place, and diverse expressions of community life. Through critical reflection and engagement with lived experience, learners will examine how community participation can advance joy, connection, and human rights. Learners will reflect on employment, volunteerism, and their own roles as members of multiple communities.

Note: Prerequisite CBLE 1010. Restricted to Disability Studies.


This course is delivered in a classroom setting with face-to-face instruction at regularly scheduled times.
