Understanding Community I - CBLE 1010

In this course, learners develop a framework for organizing activities in the community and to explore the City of Edmonton and surrounding regions, including NorQuest College communities. Learners will critically reflect on how community spaces, resources, and events, in-person and online, can bring meaning and joy into one’s life. Learners will also examine the impact that employment and volunteerism have in organizations and communities, on self and persons with disabilities.

Note: Restricted to Community Support Worker and Disability Studies.

This course is delivered in a classroom setting with face-to-face instruction at regularly scheduled times.
