Communication in the Digital Workplace - BUSD 1500

This practical and engaging course focuses on employability and interpersonal skills for success and explores many aspects of gaining and retaining employment in the digital workplace. Topics include transferrable professional skills, work-life balance, communication skills, business writing, teamwork & collaboration and receiving feedback in the workplace.  Through active participation in interactive lectures, and “hands on” lab work, learners engage in both group and individual work. A key element of the program includes case studies which allow program participants to apply newly acquired knowledge and skills in authentic situations and settings using real-life examples, which are thoroughly debriefed. The course culminates in a group project.

This course is delivered in a classroom setting with face-to-face instruction at regularly scheduled times.
