ESL Preparation for Health Care Aide- Reading and Writing - BHCA 1203

This course will develop the reading and writing skills required for success in as a health care aide (HCA). Learners will read a selection of texts on topics that are relevant to the HCA program. They will cultivate reading strategies and skills, improve reading comprehension, and increase reading fluency. They will also develop familiarity with the types of text encountered in the HCA program and in HCA workplaces. In the writing section of the course, learners will focus primarily on writing to report and on communicating successfully via email.
