Sithara Fernando

Sithara Fernando – Houseplant Enthusiast

It always starts with a promise. For Sithara, it was the end of a long trip to IKEA and impulse-purchased plants that she vowed she would foster into a living forest in her home. They were dead in 3 weeks. Next, it was the grocery store checkout "herb grow kit" that never sprouted and sat dried and dead in her window for months before being thrown out. Sound familiar?

Join Sithara Fernando, Program Chair of the Environment and Energy Program at NorQuest, as she shares her ups and downs of plant care and provides some helpful tips. Sithara will also discuss how to make plants work for you in improving your home's air quality.
