Convocation

Inviting Guests to Convocation

Celebrate Convocation with Family and Friends

Each graduate who registers to attend convocation will have the opportunity to reserve three guest tickets. The reserved guest tickets will be provided when you pick up your cap and gown. All guests must have tickets, for the specific ceremony, to be admitted to the Winspear Centre. Guest tickets are general seating and are not assigned. Children are more than welcome to attend Convocation but they must have a guest ticket and be seated with another guest in the audience. Guest tickets are limited to the capacity of the Winspear Centre.

International Guests

If your convocation guests will be visiting from outside of Canada and need to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa, you will be required to write a letter of invitation for your guests. NorQuest College cannot write this letter for you. Be sure to include all the required details in your letter of invitation.

Along with the letter of invitation, we suggest you include the following in the Temporary Resident Visa application.

Your guests may also wish to seek advice from an immigration professional regarding their Temporary Resident Visa application.

  • Copies of your passport and your study permit
  • An official transcript, which you can obtain from the Office of the Registrar
  • An Enrolment Verification letter, which you can print from MyQuest
  • A printout of the NorQuest College Ceremony Location and Schedule page which shows the dates of the ceremony
