Graduation is the culmination of your studies — you have successfully completed all of the requirements for your program. As a result, you have earned a recognized credential such as a certificate or diploma.
Convocation is a time-honoured post-secondary tradition commemorating students' accomplishments. It is a formal ceremony where the staff and faculty of the NorQuest College community, your family and your friends are able to honour your achievements and celebrate your success.
Ensure you will be able to graduate and attend Convocation – it is your responsibility to complete these steps.
If you will complete all of your certificate or diploma requirements before August 20, 2018, you are eligible to attend Convocation and you must apply to graduate. This action can only be done through your MyQuest account.
To be invited to attend Convocation 2018, you must be eligible to complete your program by August 20, 2018, and apply to graduate by February 18, 2018. If you apply after this deadline, you will have missed the opportunity to attend Convocation 2018. This deadline will not be extended.
To receive your credential within one month of the end of your last term of study (based on successful completion of your program), your deadline to apply to graduate is February 18, 2018.
If you begin and complete your program in Spring Term 2018 (between May and August 2018), you will be invited to Convocation 2019.
Program completion will be assessed by the Office of the Registrar only if you have applied to graduate through your MyQuest account. Your application to graduate is limited to the academic year in which you apply. If you are not successful in achieving your credential, you must apply to graduate again when eligible.
If attending Convocation is not a consideration, you must still apply to graduate to receive your credential.
Parchments are mailed to the address on your student record. Ensure your address is up-to-date in your MyQuest account.
Registrations will be open April 9, 2018
Are you graduating? If you are on track to graduate, you will receive the Convocation Invite & Registration package via your MyMail account in the beginning of April. You can also check for your name on the 2017-18 Convocation List (339K pdf).
