The Service Industry Skills certificate program offers great opportunities for individuals who want to work and excel in the industry and for business owners who want their staff equipped with world-class skills and training. The certificate includes an introductory course and five unique specializations to choose from, including Guest Services Relations Host, Server/Host/Suite Attendant, Concession Worker, Ticket Takers/Ushers, and Housekeepers, along with other optional certifications.

The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation Hospitality Institute is a unique partnership with NorQuest College supporting our vibrant hospitality and service industry. The Hospitality Institute develops and delivers a comprehensive suite of hospitality-industry training programs in a broad range of disciplines needed for employment. Customer Service Skills

In an increasingly competitive market, outstanding customer service is what sets businesses apart. This certificate program covers the basic principles of customer service and explores communication, intercultural diversity, and dealing with difficult situations.

Managing Casino Slot Operations

Learn some of the unique attributes required and challenges involved in managing casino slot operations. This course provides a comprehensive look at departmental organization, machine types, technological trends, floor design and layout, and staffing and customer service issues connected with this area of hospitality.

NorQuest College offers maximum flexibility for corporate training delivery options. Choose from one of the following:

  1. Customized delivery. We'll set up a specific delivery just for your employees at one of our campuses, at your workplace, or at another convenient venue, and we will customize the course content to meet your organization's specific needs.
  2. Register in scheduled Continuing Education courses. Ideal for an individual or small group, participation in one of our regularly scheduled courses ensures your employees get training right away.
