This course provides an overview of the basic financial tools used by managers in planning and controlling their areas. Topics will include the analysis and classification of different types of costs, examination of financial ratios in comparison to industry averages, financial statement analysis, financial forecasting tools and techniques, financial and operating leverage, working capital and its impact on decision making, current asset management, sources of short-term financing, time value of money calculations, and big data analytics tools and techniques used in banking.

Prerequisite: BUSD 1006 Restricted to Business Admin and Open Studies
