Free tech training to be offered to Indigenous youth

A new partnership between NorQuest College and The CommAlert Group is opening doors for Indigenous youth ages 18 to 30 who are interested in pursuing a career in technology. Applications for the zero cost, four-month IndTech program are open now with classes beginning on August 29, 2022.

This is a great opportunity for Indigenous learners to gain technical skills in data processing, data management, software literacy, communications, and teamwork. Plus, thanks to our employer partner CommAlert, all participants will receive a paid internship where they can apply the skills and knowledge learned in the classroom!

“There is a huge under-representation of Indigenous people in our industry. We know that with the right support, we can help remove any barriers to employment for Indigenous youth and help employers fill those worker shortages,” said Tim Carwell, President of The CommAlert Group.

Begin a career path in the tech industry by applying today!

The IndTech project is funded by Employment and Social Development Canada.
