Carolyn Campbell active on first day as NorQuest College President and CEO

July 20, 2020

Campbell began her term by visiting the NorQuest’s Olson Centre for Health Simulation to learn about preparations underway to safely bring students back to campus, with some students set to begin in-person labs as early as September.

“It’s a pivotal time for NorQuest College, for Alberta, and beyond,” said Carolyn Campbell, President and CEO. “We’re emerging from a pandemic right into a new fiscal and economic reality, and many NorQuest students will be working at the frontlines of our recovery. The steps we take now are crucial to our immediate and long-term future, and I’m thrilled be joining the college to work with our partners in industry and government to supercharge Alberta’s post-pandemic recovery.”

Campbell pointed to the Olson Centre lab as an example of the importance of NorQuest and other post-secondaries for the province’s recovery, noting the important role its graduates played in responding to the health needs of Albertans during the pandemic.

“We’re working with industry to make sure our graduates leave NorQuest ready to take on the world,” said Campbell. “From ensuring that students can return to campus safely to developing workforce-ready programming, we’re taking the steps necessary for our students to be difference makers.”
