Open Education has evolved from a focus on textbook savings to a broader movement for advancing social justice. In today’s geopolitical climate, it can also serve as a form of resistance—challenging political narratives and restrictions.
In this session, we will explore censorship threats to Open Education. Conversely, we will also speculate on how Open Education can undermine information controls and help sustain access to knowledge.
