About the facilitator

Saniya Ghalehdar holds a Certificate in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion from the University of British Columbia and is currently completing a degree in Women’s and Gender Studies. She is also certified to deliver human rights advocacy training through the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights. Her work is grounded in a strong commitment to continuous learning and community impact, using education and dialogue to foster more inclusive spaces.

Saniya previously served as Co-Chair of the Women’s Advisory Committee for the City of Edmonton and is a member of NorQuest College’s Living Library Committee, which promotes dialogue and understanding through storytelling and lived experience. She is also the founder of She Said, a storytelling and advocacy initiative that amplifies the experiences and insights of women across Canada and globally.
